Magical Dairy Free, Gluten Free Chocolate Covered Snack Mix

Sweet and salty kettle corn. Cashews. Pretzels. Melted chocolate.

Does that not sound amazing?

This is one of my favorite treats to make if I’m having people over, and I’m telling you, it literally couldn’t be any easier to make. Everyone will see it and think you’re this incredible genius chef, but in reality, you barely did anything, and it took like 10 minutes. Besides that, if you use the brands that I’ve listed down below, it’s also dairy and gluten free.


But before we get too carried away, disclaimer, this isn’t a “healthy” snack. It does contain sugar, plus a decent amount of net carbs (total carbs minus fiber), so yes, it will raise your blood sugar.

Fair warning, it’s also pretty addictive, so if you’re like me, and find yourself getting a littleee carried away when snacks are nearby, I recommend buying only enough ingredients for the party or event you’re attending.

Okay, let’s make this yummy, chocolate covered, popcorny, pretzely goodness.


Dairy Free, Gluten Free Chocolate Covered Snack Mix

Serves: 5


  • 5 cups Angie’s Boom Chicka Pop sweet and salty kettle corn

  • 3 cups Snyder’s of Hanover gluten free pretzel twists

  • 1 cup unsalted cashews

  • 1 cup Enjoy Life semi-sweet mini chocolate chips

Additional Toppings

  • Chopped cashews

  • Shredded coconut

  • Chocolate chips


  1. In a large bowl, stir together popcorn, pretzels, and cashews.* 

  2. In a microwave safe bowl, microwave chocolate chips in 30 seconds intervals, stirring in between, until melted.

  3. Using a spoon, drizzle melted chocolate over popcorn, pretzel, cashew mixture.

  4. Allow chocolate to cool for a few minutes.

  5. Divide into bowls, add desired toppings, and enjoy!

*If I’m having people over, I’ll skip the large bowl, and just divide the mixture into bowls.
